Full Moon in Leo, 2026

Full Moon in Leo, February 1, 2026 at 5:09 pm EST is called the Snow Moon.

All Full Moons bring something to a climax.  Leo is the Fixed Fire Sign.  Fire is the element of Spirit and Intuition.  Fixed signs are determined to establish something.

Leo is known for its high spirits, love of fun and self-expression. This Full Moon may bring up feelings of needing to connect with others, to be seen and acknowledged.

This Full Moon also happens at Imbolc, the Pagan cross-quarter day.  It is Six weeks after the Winter Solstice and Six weeks before the Spring Equinox.

Leo is ruled by the Sun and we can actually feel the strengthening of the Sun at Imbolc.  If you go outside and check on the branches of bushes you’ll see the first indications of buds starting to break through.

Under this Full Moon we may be aware of internal tension between what exists in our lives and what we want to manifest.

It’s a good time to remember that under all that seems frozen and lifeless, there’s a lot of change and growth going on. 

We might want to ask ourselves:

Am I living authentically or seeking the approval of others?

Do I need a cleanse-- mentally, spiritually or physically?

How can I feel more connected to my own creativity?

This is the time of year to be germinating ideas and plans (and seeds!)
