FULL MOON IN VIRGO, 2026
Full Moon in Virgo, March 3, 2026 at 3:38 AM PST
This Moon is also called the Worm Moon. It features a total lunar eclipse that can be seen in Western North America in the early morning of March 3rd.
Total eclipses can turn the moon a deep shade of red, often called blood moons. Full Moons are always intense, bringing things to the surface. Eclipses add to this intensity. The effects can last for months.
The Moon is an astrological symbol for our limbic bodies, our feelings of being nurtured and safe. Virgo is the Mutable Earth sign and is the craftsman and healer of the Zodiac. It’s known for its attention to details and impulse towards perfection.
My meditation teacher used to say “Don’t be perfect, be happy.”
During this Full Moon Eclipse we may have an intense awareness of the imperfections in ourselves, our friends and family, our world. We may find ourselves very anxious that things are not as perfect as they could be.
Can we balance our worldly needs: schedules, obligations, taking care of our bodies, etc. with the very real spiritual needs of what makes us happy: friendship, nature, kindness, etc.?
We might want to ask ourselves:
Am I stuck in unconscious, habitual routines?
Am I enthralled by an inner or outer critical voice?
What makes my spirit feel free?
It is a good time to schedule a vacation. Even if that’s only for an hour or two.
