Mary Swanson has studied and taught astrology since the 1970’s.  Through the decades, her studies branched out into alternative & intuitive healing, meditation, psychology, intuitive development, ritual, mythology, painting, poetry, printmaking, writing, and directing theatrical production. 

In 1994 she graduated from the Academy of Intuition Medicine (TM).  Since then she has had a full time practice working with clients in individual sessions, leading workshops, and offering classes in intuitive development, past lives, meditation and working with healing energies.

In 2000 she opened a school in San Francisco, The Art House, then in 2007 opened another Art House in Middlebury, VT. Both schools were community centers for the visual arts, music, theatre, healing, meditation and learning about intuition and creativity. 

Underlying all her work has been her personal practice of astrology. Through all of her studies she has been casting charts, reading for clients, family and friends, teaching workshops and watching the events of people’s lives unfold in relation to their charts. 

Incarnate Astrology is the product of Mary’s astrology practice informed by all of her studies in other fields. Decades of watching how people incarnate, how people actually do incarnate into their bodies and lives, has led her to want to share her observations and tools.  

Mary was born in the American midwest and spent most of her life in San Francisco, CA.  She holds certification from the Academy of Intuition Medicine (TM) Sausalito, CA and has a BA in English from the University of Iowa with honors for poetry from the Iowa Writer’s Workshop.

In keeping with her Aries Sun and Virgo Moon, Mary is a life-long student.  

She deeply loves and enjoys her two adult daughters and one adult grandson.  

She currently lives in Evanston, Illinois.
