Spring Equinox, 2022
Dear, Strong and Sensitive Children of the Earth,
The Vernal Equinox, Ostara is here! The first day of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere is rising up with tender shoots, the sap is rising, what was frozen is thawing. The Earth itself is coming back to life.
The Vernal Equinox happens three months after the Winter Solstice and three months before the Summer Solstice. This time of birth and rebirth has been celebrated as long as there have been people to celebrate.
This time of year not only marks the Resurrection of Life after Winter but is the time to celebrate the newly born, the potential of what is coming into being.
Mother Nature shows us there is such a thing as a joyous replenishment after a long period of constriction. The greening of Life, the strengthening of the warmth of the Sun, the invitation of soft, sweet-smelling air naturally pulls us out of whatever we've gotten ourselves locked into.
The Spring Equinox of 2022 brings an added note of sensitivity, compassion, and gratitude.
In the language of Astrology, this Spring Equinox is marked by the upcoming conjunction of Jupiter, representing the part of our psyche associated with Expansion & Generosity... and Neptune, representing the part of our psyche associated with Empathy & Kindness.
Jupiter and Neptune are moving together through the Sign of Pisces which colors everything with the magic of understanding that we are all in this together. So, above all else, be kind and gentle.
The last time Jupiter and Neptune were together in the Sign of Pisces was 1856. Not the most peaceful time, not the most kind or generous time. But a time when decisions were made.
Amidst the chaos, no matter how dark and cold, there is always vulnerable potential waiting. To bring it forth there is a sure line of action... understanding, generosity, kindness.
No matter what is going on in our lives, we could take a moment on this Spring Equinox and step outside into Nature. The magic of Ostara is upon the land, waiting for us to notice and take it in.
Blessed Be,
Mary

This is The Time To Be Slow
This is the time to be slow,
Lie low to the wall
Until the bitter weather passes.
Try, as best you can, not to let
The wire brush of doubt
Scrape from your heart
All sense of yourself
And your hesitant light.
If you remain generous,
Time will come good
And you will find your feet
Again on fresh pastures of promise,
Where the air will be kind
And blushed with beginning.
