Full Moon in Capricorn, 2024

There are many names for this Full Moon, most of them relate to ripening and fruition. Strawberries don’t start out as luscious red delicacies: ripening is a process.

Full Moons always bring things to some culmination. This Full Moon in Capricorn asks us to be practical about what we’re trying to bring to fruition.  

Coming only a day after Summer Solstice when the Sun is at its strongest, this Full Moon appears closer to the horizon than other Moons. Large and colored by the atmosphere, this Strawberry Moon may feel very present and imposing.

Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, the planet of authority, boundaries, and physical reality. This part of our psyche is always asking us to recognize our own authority, our own abilities and the gifts we bring to our society.  

New structures form under a Capricorn Full Moon. We feel a strong pull to be useful. We are encouraged to trust our own inner authority rather than looking to someone else to tell us what is possible. 

This Full Moon is in a square aspect to Neptune in the last degree of Pisces, the sign it naturally rules adding even more strength to  the sensitivity of Neptune.   

The Neptunian part of our psyche is in charge of dreams, visions and connection to the Mystery. The combination of Saturn and Neptune is asking us to consider what real steps we need to take to make our dreams come true.
